this is my picture for my clubs homepage...
we are doing our awards assembly in february...i took second place in two classes because i changed my turbo mid season. this picture is from a thompson track day. my coolant cap came off somehow(tech inspection). thought the car was on fire. wasn’t!
i was able to secure driver of the year by accumulating most point from autocross and track day/time trial combined! pissed off some ppl but they didn’t do as consistently well as i did. i’m proud of my achievement!

Congratulations! As someone who never could manage to make it to all autoXs in any given season, I gotta give you props.

Congrats! I applaud your dedication. I haven’t been able to drag myself out of bed early on a weekend to drive all the way up to Hartford and chase cones.

thanks! i’m not into church and my wife goes to the universalist church, i mostly have sundays to myself! it was tough getting to all the events but rewarding!

There you go! I am down in Fairfield county. One of these days I’ll make it up there with my Miata, or possibly a bone stock E39 530i that I might buy from a relative... Whichever happens to be running at the time.
We should try to coordinate an Oppo AutoX race in CT. We can turn it into a day, and I’m sure there are enough guys in the Northeast who would come just to meet up and talk cars.

My car and schedule were perfect for finally getting into AutoX this summer. But because I couldn’t get a summer job, I didn’t feel great about dropping $50 every other weekend. The ratio of ratio of driving time to cost and time didn’t sit well with me.

loose coolant cap blew off second lap of day after car had gotten warm. sprayed coolant all over engine bay and track. my back tires ran over it and i slid but didn’t spin. It’s funny because you’re sitting there in the car and if it’s on fire you want to get out but there officials yelling at you to stay in your car
